1. Santa hat brownies
Santa Hat Brownies are a festive holiday dessert. Cute, fun, and delicious, these bite-sized treats are perfect for Christmas parties, cookie trays, or a sweet holiday surprise.
You will need
• Piping bag
• Wilton 22 tip, sharp knife
• 9x13 inch pan of prepared and cooled brownies (use a mix or your favorite recipe)
• ½-⅔ cup red cupcake icing or frosting (we used a can alternative)
• ⅓ cup vanilla frosting
Cut the pan of brownies in half lengthwise, then cut each small row into 7 triangles. The ends will not be used.
Arrange the triangle brownies on a baking sheet or tray. Pipe the red frosting onto each brownie, starting from ½ inch under the tip of the triangle, until ½ inch before the bottom, in a back and forth motion, using the star tip that came with the icing (or same Wilton tip if using frosting)
Add the vanilla frosting to a piping bag with the Wilton 22 tip and pipe a dot on the tip of the santa hat.
Then pipe a line at the bottom of the hat, to create the trim.
Tips and tricks! You could use a marshmallow for the pom pom on the Santa hat - arrange diagonally, or trim it to shape if needed!
You could try an assortment of pink and red hats, alternating colours, for a girly twist - or even ice them in gradating hues, from pink to red, to create an ombre effect for a standout party display.
