How to make Monster Meatball Sliders

These Monster Meatball Sliders are a fun, savory party bite made with saucy meatballs, soft slider buns, mozzarella teeth, and black olive eyes. They’re quick to assemble and make an easy themed appetizer for Halloween parties or family dinners.

Each slider is filled with three warm meatballs and marinara, then decorated with mozzarella triangles and olive eyes to create a simple monster face. They’re playful, filling, and ready in just 25 minutes.

Monster Meatball Sliders serves: 6

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 15 minutes

Total time: 25 minutes

You will need

• 6 slider buns

• 16oz bag frozen fully-cooked meatballs (approx 18 small meatballs)

• 1 ½ cups of marinara sauce (half a jar)

• 3 slices of mozzarella cheese

• 12 sliced black olives

• Also needed: 12 toothpicks

1. Heat the meatballs in a saucepan over medium heat for about 10 minutes.

Add the marinara sauce, reduce the heat to medium-low, and let it simmer until fully heated through.

2. Cut the mozzarella slices in half, then slice each half into triangles to create the monster teeth. Place three meatballs with a little sauce on each slider bun.

Top each slider with two mozzarella triangles to resemble monster teeth, then add the bun top.

3. Use toothpicks to add sliced black olives on top of the sliders for the eyes.

4. Repeat the process for the remaining sliders. Serve the Monster Meatball Sliders warm and enjoy.

Tips and tricks! • Cut the mozzarella into small triangles before assembling the sliders so the monster teeth are quick and easy to add while the meatballs are warm.

• Use approximately three small meatballs per slider so the filling is evenly divided between all six buns.

• Add the olive eyes with toothpicks after placing the bun tops on the sliders, and remember to remove the toothpicks before eating.
