These cinnamon roll Christmas trees are the cutest festive twist on our favourite bake! They can be made super easily with premade or canned dough, just rearranged into tree formation and decked out with a pretzel tree trunk and a drizzle of icing, topped with your favourite colourful festive decorations!
They would be a perfect option for a winter breakfast or brunch occasion, to serve at Christmas parties, to make for a winter bake sale, or just to make and decorate with your little helpers.
Servings: 5 rolls
You will need
• 1 (17.5 oz) can premade cinnamon roll grands dough (with icing)
• ¼ cup Christmas sprinkles
• 2–3 pretzel rods
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll each cinnamon roll and shape the dough into a squiggly triangle to resemble a Christmas tree.
Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20–23 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 5 minutes.
Insert a 2” broken pretzel rod into the bottom of each roll to form the tree stump.
Drizzle with icing and decorate with Christmas sprinkles.
Tips and tricks! Get the kids involved by letting them decorate their own trees!
Add coloured icing or candy stars on top for extra festive fun.
You can also make these with puff pastry to create cinnamon swirl Christmas trees - just follow our cinnamon swirl bow tutorial to make cinnamon swirls, then unravel them and arrange them in the same tree formation as the cinnamon roll dough above - then bake and decorate in the same fashion!
