How to make Cookie Fries Sticks Dippers

The best ever dippable cookie fries you have never tried! These Cookie Sticks are everything you love about a soft, chewy chocolate chip cookie but in a fun, dippable form, perfect for movie nights, as sleepover party snacks, for dessert charcuterie boards or as cosy gaming snacks.

Baked into golden-edged rectangles and sliced into strips, they're crisp on the outside with a tender, melt-in-your-mouth center. The rich brown sugar flavor pairs perfectly with gooey chocolate chips in every bite, making them perfect for sharing.

Cookie Sticks serves: 10

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 10 minutes

Total time: 1 hour

You will need

• 1/2 sugar

• 1/2 brown sugar

• 1/2 canola oil

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• 1 egg

• 1/2 tsp salt

• 1/2 tsp baking soda

• 1 3/4 cups flour

• 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1. In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, brown sugar, canola oil, vanilla, and egg.

In a separate bowl, stir together the salt, baking soda, and flour.

2. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring between additions until incorporated. You may need to use your hands at the end to bring the dough together.

3. Divide the dough in half and place each portion on a parchment-lined sheet pan. Roll each into a 10 x 3-inch rectangle, shaping with your hands as needed. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top and lightly press them into the dough.

4. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 375°F, then bake the chilled rectangles for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

5. Let cool for 5–10 minutes, then use a serrated knife to cut into 1-inch strips.

Transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling, then serve with chocolate hot fudge, strawberry frosting, or your favorite dip.

Tips and tricks!

• The dough should be tacky and easy to shape without leaving pieces stuck to your hands. If it is too sticky, add flour little by little, about 1/4 cup at a time, until workable.

• Don't skip the 30-minute chill, as it helps prevent the dough from spreading during baking.

• Cut the cookies while they are still slightly warm for cleaner strips.

• Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2–3 days.

Substitutions: Use your favorite dipping sauce or frosting in place of the suggested chocolate hot fudge or strawberry frosting.

Variations: Try different chocolate chips or serve with cream cheese, frosting, hot fudge, or another favorite dip.
