Our ultimate decadent winter/fall sliders - these are sweet and tangy and are everything we love about the holidays in one little bite!

Shredded turkey slow cooks in a cranberry barbecue sauce that’s equal parts smoky, sweet, and festive. Pile it high on slider buns and top with melty cheese or a scoop of slaw, perfect for game day, Friendsgiving, or a cozy fall dinner. It’s the easiest way to use up leftover turkey and turn it into something totally craveable.

This recipe serves: 6

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 15 minutes

Make-ahead tip: You can prep the turkey mixture a day ahead and just assemble and bake the sliders when ready to serve, perfect for parties or holiday leftovers!

To reheat: Wrap leftover sliders in foil and reheat in a low oven or air fryer to keep them soft and melty.

You will need

• 2-3 pound boneless turkey breast

• 1 cup bbq sauce

• 1 cup cranberry sauce

• 1 tablespoon dijon mustard

• 2 tablespoons brown sugar

• 1 teaspoon onion powder

• 1 teaspoon garlic salt

• 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

• ½ teaspoon black pepper

• 12 count slider rolls

• 6 slices cheddar cheese

Topping

 ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

• 1 teaspoons smoked paprika

• 1 teaspoons packed brown sugar

• ½ teaspoon garlic salt

• ½ teaspoon onion powder

• ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

• 1 teaspoon dried parsley

To your slow cooker add the turkey.

In a bowl whisk together the bbq sauce, cranberry sauce, mustard, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic salt, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika and ½ teaspoon black pepper. Reserve ½ cup of this mixture.

Pour the rest over the turkey breast. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours until the meat shreds easily.

Shred the turkey.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Slice your hawaiian rolls in half. Lay down the cheese slices.

Pile the shredded turkey on the rolls. Top with the reserved sauce.

Place the top of the rolls on. Now, to make the topping, mix together ½ cup melted unsalted butter, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1 teaspoons packed brown sugar, ½ teaspoon garlic salt, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon dried parsley.

Pour the melted butter mixture all over the top of the rolls. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and melty. Serve!

Tips & Tricks:

• Shred while hot: Shred the turkey while it’s still warm, it’ll pull apart much more easily and soak up the sauce better.

• Reserve the sauce early: Don’t forget to set aside that ½ cup of sauce before pouring it over the turkey, it makes a big difference in flavor once the sliders are assembled.

• Line your baking dish: Use foil or parchment under your sliders for easy cleanup, especially with that buttery topping.

• Make-ahead tip: You can prep the turkey mixture a day ahead and just assemble and bake the sliders when ready to serve, perfect for parties or holiday leftovers!

• To reheat: Wrap leftover sliders in foil and reheat in a low oven or air fryer to keep them soft and melty.

Substitutions:

Boneless turkey breast → You can use rotisserie chicken, leftover Thanksgiving turkey, or even boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs.

BBQ sauce → Use any variety you like: honey BBQ, spicy, smoky, or even sugar-free.

Cranberry sauce → Whole berry or jellied both work. You could also use cherry preserves in a pinch for a similar sweet-tart flavor.

Cheddar cheese → Swap with Swiss, gouda, provolone, or Monterey Jack for a different flavor profile.

Hawaiian rolls → Brioche buns, mini pretzel rolls, or even slider-size potato rolls can be used instead.

Variations:

• Add sliced red onion or jalapeños under the turkey for a pop of crunch or spice.

• Make it spicy: Use a spicy BBQ sauce or add hot sauce to the cranberry mixture for a sweet heat combo.

• Holiday twist: Add a layer of leftover stuffing or dressing between the turkey and cheese for a true Thanksgiving remix slider.

• Air fryer version: If making just a few, pop them in the air fryer at 350°F for 5–6 minutes until golden and melty.

• Make it into a bake: Instead of sliders, turn this into a cheesy turkey casserole by layering the shredded turkey, cheese, and sauce in a baking dish over biscuit dough or cornbread batter.
